After Windows 10 update to 1803, Firefox keeps crashing every few minutes or even seconds
It does not seem related to what I do with Firefox, it crashes also while I'm not using Firefox or even the PC, sometimes the crash report windows appears (and I send the report) sometimes not. It is really impossible to use the program with such problems.

no, the cuase will be something different - it should probably show up as something like "ID Protect Monitor" or athena. it's a smartcard driver/software which will allow it to identify yourself at some webmail or e-government sites via a physical smartcard connected to your system.

hello, could you provide your latest few submitted crash reports? please enter about:crashes into the location bar, copy the latest few report ids from there starting with bp- & paste them here into a forum reply. this will give us a better understanding what may be triggering those crashes.
Here they are the last 3 crash reports listed:
bp-a10f538b-1cb9-4609-9b12-4e4cb0180713 bp-9146ccfb-44fc-485f-85ab-e279d0180713 bp-fa13cff1-ffb6-46a5-9139-39f7a0180713
However Firefox crashed many more times than showed by about:crashes. I can see barely 4 crashes today in the list, while Firefox crashed at least 30 times today, and keeps crashing every few minutes.
thanks, these crashes are commonly caused by some outdated smartcard software/drivers. do you know which software product/version you have installed on your system?
I checked and updated 3 drivers, now the Intel Driver and Support Assistant software (I have an Intel NUC pc) says that all drivers of my system are updated. I'll report if crashes keep on.

A long time ago I uninstalled the software/drivers of a smartcard reader, but I surprisingly found 2 of those softwares/drivers still there, "ID Protect Monitor" (as already pointed out) and "NXPProximityInstaller". I uninstalled them I had no crashes since then, so I can say the problem has been solved. Thanks a lot.
