I'm running Firefox ESR v 52.7.2 (64-bit) on Win 7 as my second install of Firefox. (my main version is 61.01 with auto updating) Most times when I exit the browser my Selenium IDE Version 2.9.1.1-signed is removed by Firefox. I've deleted the compatibility.ini and extensions*.* files. It works for a while, then it fails and I have to download IDE again. Which I've done about 10 times. What is the fix for this annoyance?

You should be using separate profiles for different versions. Firefox 61 makes changes to your profile that breaks things in older versions.
