Firefox for Android has existed since 10.0 and the main place to get it has been on Google Play. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.firefox

What is the point of a Firefox app? Is it not the same thing as the Firefox browser? I'm unclear on what a FF app will do that the FF mobile browser does not.

Related: When downloading the app, the user is prompted to scan a QR code.

How? What do I use to scan the QR code? My phone's camera? Do I need yet another app to scan the code? The download page provides no help with this question. It just assumes I am to know how to scan a QR code. Bad assumption.
