running current Thunderbird in WIN 7 PRO. When attempting to display an email from a global search result I get a strange page that I can't make any sense of (see attached screen capture). What is this? I just want to see the email I've chosen from among the search results list.

Help menu > troubleshooting information and click the about:Memory you will see the page.

Try restarting Thunderbird with add-ons disabled from the help menu. See if one of them might be a problem child.

Thanks for the suggestion, Matt. "Safe Mode" does not help. Get same memory diagnostic screen, not the email from search list.

Try rebuilding the global search index:

Excellent hint! Rebuilding the global search index cleared up the problem. Thanks you very much!
