I have made firefox delete all history upon closing. It doesn't do it, does anyone else have this problem?
When I close firefox I have it set up to clear everything on the "clear history" list. Including cookies and cache. I use a program called ccleaner and it always finds tons of firefox cookies an cache.
Chosen solution
We do not recommend using other programs to clear Firefox data because sometimes the wrong file gets removed or corrupted.
Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar. The button next to History, select Use Custom Settings.
Turn off Always Use Private Browsing Mode Turn on Remember My Browsing And Download History At the bottom of the page, turn on Clear History When Firefox Closes. At the far right, press the Settings button. Turn on Cache and Form And Search History and whatever else.

Thank you for the quick reply. I've done all of that. How do I tell if the cache and cookies are truly cleared? Trust me, I don't mind not using the other program as it costs money.
Close Firefox. Give it a minute or two. Then open it again.
about:cache
Could you be a little more specific in how I check please? Where do I type about:cache? What do I look for?
Sorry.
Type about:cache<enter> in the address bar. What does it show?
Just gmail.com and this. Thank you. I deleted ccleaner.
Thank you for all your help, I really appreciate it.
Glad to help. Safe Surfing.
