how do make english uk my default spellchecker
Every morning I restart my PC from scratch, rather than leavng it in sleep mode overnight. The spellcheck then reverts to US-English every day - not just when there's a Thunderbird upgrade. I'd like UK-English to remain the default dictionary.

Did you install the en-US version in the first place? If so, download the en-UK version installer from https://www.thunderbird.net/thunderbird/all/ and run it. Then the en-UK spell-check should be turned on by default.
Dear Chris1,
Thank you.
I understand that Thunderbird should keep the UK-English as the default dictionary once I've downloaded and installed it. But it does not. That is my problem.

Not if you accidentally installed the en-US version.
Dear Chris1,
Thank you
Problem 1 - Spell Check issue
I downloaded TB v 68.1.32 and then:
Tools -> Add On- Bristh Dictionary added then
Tools -> Options -> Spelling -> Language, change to UK /Britsh.
Problem now solved 100%. Thanks for your help.
Problem 2 - Loading TB v 68.1.32 means that Theme Font and Size Changer Add-On no longer works. As a result, the font size in my Inbox is so small it's very difficult to read.
Any tips on how to fix problem 2 would be much appreciated.
