All my bookmarks have been deleted.
Please, help. All my bookmarks that have been accumulating for about 15 years have been deleted from my account. I had to change my password after reinstalling windows. I did not backup any files. I have only my mozilla account.

Are you referring to a Firefox Account used by Sync?
yes! I reinstalled Windows> Installed mozilla> changed the password in mozilla before logging in to the account> logged in to the account> synced = no bookmarks. There is no story. No backups of bookmarks.
god pls

Sorry, but that was a fatal mistake! All your Sync data was rendered unusable, and was deleted from your Sync account. The old Password was the "key" to decrypt your data; and a different Password won't work. There is a warning message about that when the user starts the PW reset process, but too many users don't take the time to read and digest that message.

I saw it! But what could I do? I needed to change my password in order to log in to my account. Is there any way to get the tabs back? Tab History? Is there any other backup beyond the capabilities of the user? Perhaps the administration can help me somehow?
I am sorry for your loss, but when the Firefox Account password is changed all the data that was saved to Sync becomes worthless. There is a warning message that appears when an attempt is made to reset the Firefox Account password, but sadly too many users don't seem to read that message or take the time to comprehend that message, or skip reading it due to their haste. And the current message is greatly improved within the last couple of years.
Bottom line is that Sync was never intended to be used with a solitary device. You can't synchronize one device, it takes "two to tango" for synchronization. That is an all to common user error and I feel should be documented a whole hell of a lot better than it is. I've been telling that to Mozilla for a dozen years now, and all I get as a long time user is to "write a new support article and provide that information". Seems that every time I would edit an existing support article, it gets re-edited by so many other contributors that the meaning I meant to get across gets mangled in the process. Not my bag and not something that I would be good at doing. I don't even use Sync any longer, and when I did use it that was just to help other users here. I stopped relying on and using Sync right about the time that Sync was made part of a standard feature in Firefox 4.0 (March 22, 2011) and they forgot about backwards compatibility with the Weave extension where Sync was developed over the run of Firefox 3.5 and early days of Firefox 3.6. That screwed me royally, as I was using an older device that was unable to run Firefox 4.0 even with a new Operating System. And the Sync server was updated which cut off access for those who were using that Weave extension in mid-Dec 2010.
Plus I am a mere 70 yo user of Firefox who's been around since Aug 2002, and not a professional in any way, shape, or form. Yeah, I been messing with computers since 1984 for my own business and learned out of need to run mu business. And for the last 20 years as a hobbyist with computers, but my strengths are more towards the hardware side of the equation and not with software, although I have learned a lot about Firefox by being a support contributor since long before this forum was even started.
