Are you possibly using permanent Private Browsing mode (Always use Private Browsing mode; Never Remember History) ?

Make sure you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Always use Private Browsing mode; Never Remember History).

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
  • remove checkmark: [ ] "Always use Private Browsing mode"

Note that you can 'create a new login' manually in Lockwise.

You mean you see the logins in Lockwise (about:logins), but that Firefox isn't using them and prefills the login ?

Do you see an enabled "Fill Login" and "Fill Password" if you right-click username and password field ?

Is Login autocomplete enabled in "Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security" ?

I did come across a website login today where the auto-fill in worked properly. That was an exception. Every time I open the Yahoo.com website my login information is absent and I must manually login every day. The same for Facebook.

Can't you use the right-click context menu to fill username and password ?

If you have multiple logins stored for a website then Firefox won't autofill and you can possibly type the first letters and press the cursor Down key.
