Unknown icon on opening a new tab
Good day,
Can anyone tell me what the icon means on opening a new tab?
I have included a screen shot. The icon changes in the one representing the currently visited website after a second or so.
Many thanks in advance,
Karsten

Hi Karsten, Firefox 80 has changed the "tab throbber" for users who expressed a preference, either in their operating system settings or in about:config (setting ui.prefersReducedMotion=1), that Firefox use less animation. The ping-ponging dots animation is replaced by the hourglass icon (light gray typically indicates connecting, while solid black indicates loading).

Looks like a "Loading..." hourglass to me. Would make sense, no?
Looks like it but not quite. Moreover, it never showed up previously...

Thanks anyway, Roberto!
