I have short cuts for websites on my phone desktop. With the previous version when I opened a short cut Firefox would exit cleanly, now it collects every thing I open in tabs and exits to Firefox rather than my desktop. I do not like the behavior, I find myself manually deleting the tabs during the day. Is there a fix for this?

It's become a tab generating application, not a browser. Bookmarks open new tabs, Top Sites open new tabs, Collections open new tabs. There is literally no way to visit a site then change the URL to a site you have saved someplace - and stay in the same tab. This is how the last version worked, and how the desktop version works.

The settings to close tabs at the end of (day, week, month) tells me this is ad revenue related. All tabs communicate with servers, even if they are not open. Think on that for a minute.
