In general I am able to navigate to web sites and "Add to home screen", but one web site in particular that option disappears and seems to be replaced with "Install" That is "Breitbart.com". I can navigate to the page with no problem, but no "Add to home screen" option, and when I click the "Install" option, it created a home page link, but does not open the Firefox browser. It opens what looks like an app without browser options, but I do not have the app on my phone, so I suspect opening firefox in some limited form or opening a different browser. I have firefox set to default.

Hi Steve

Some sites are designed to be displayed in a special tab that allows for a minimal browser experience, but does give a more app like experience on your Android device. This is what you are seeing with that website.
