CAN I Copy profile to laptop
I'm buying a new win 10 laptop soon. Is it possible to copy the the settings from a virtual windows 10 64 bit I just set up. It is easy to export the bookmarks as html but could i set up the desktop/add ons etc. I have used classic shell and winaero tweak to make it look like win 7. I don't like 10 and would be buying 7 if i could.
Could i copy the profile onto the laptop. I think the laptop is 64 bit, would it matter if it wasn't
This PC is win 7 64 bit desktop and i know the firefox 77.01 is out of date. I don't like the changes

It's a definite maybe. Certainly you can try it.
Have you considered setting up Sync so your two installations can share those categories of data across?
Regarding transplanting a whole profile folder, see this example:

Regarding your version, can you at least run the Extended Support Release of Firefox 78 (Switch to Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) for personal use)? That one is getting its final update soon.
If not, what is the critical difference between Firefox 77 and 78 that is holding you back?
I know now i can copy the profile but will that include the changes to the windows desktop making the start menu like win 7 etc?. Is that part of a profile. Maybe i should do a disk clone. Can you clone a virtual windows created with vmware
i don't want sync or an ff account
When i updated all my adds ons wouldn't work and other changes

Changes to Windows? If you made those through the Windows control panel, they are definitely not Firefox settings and would not be in the profile folder.
I think there must be better places to ask about moving a VM -- isn't the whole point that they should be portable?
