Hi. I am getting slowness, crashing and websites not working as they should. Mainly I think it's because I have turned javascript off. I didn't realise that I had until trying to view a website that advised me to turn my "javascript" back on. The trouble is I dont know how because it was turned off accidentally.

Where is it found even? Sorry to be such a technophobe and have a phone that is smarter than me but the phone is just not doing what it should. Can anybody help please.

Firefox for Android comes with Enhanced Tracking Protection built in. You can read more about this at:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enhanced-tracking-protection-firefox-android

This is a good baseline to protect yourself. You are more than welcome to use the add-ons that are currently available, but (as you have found) the more you block and disable, the harder it is to use some websites.

Hi

Do you have any add-ons installed in Firefox for Android?

Thanks for the quick response.

I took the advice you gave me about adverts when you said I could try adding something, but I can't remember what it was now. Can you?

The trouble is I do like to explore and try and learn more but I seem to have come unstuck. The emails and offers that I do accept from a chosen few are coming through without any details or images of what I might be buying or prices of how much they are.

Reply is above. Sorry!!

Hi Seburo

I think I've found how to turn Javascript back on. Whats the risk of having them on though. Since they have been turned off it records that: AdGuard AdBlock has blocked 1'928 since install. UBlock Origin has also worked and between them blocked 4'090 ads (57%) since install. If I turn them on again, (cosmetic filtering and javascript) will the blockers still work? Jackie
