connecting to sites
upon enabling "do not connect to http" very, very, very often i got the attached error message when the site said it was https and it was very often reliable places like my bank and TaxAct. It seemed like such a good idea but i quit out of frustration.

Are there some articles i could read (would you share?) that would educate me on the issue and help me be more compelling when i contact them? If i contacted them now, id be a babbling idiot. I feel very secure with Firefox compared to main stream alternatives. Thanks!
Were do you end up if you click to go to the HTTP site ? Sometimes there are redirects that do not work properly and temporarily need a HTTP redirect, but then get redirected again to HTTPS.
Do you use a bookmark or are you starting with the main (home) page of this website?
If you use a bookmark to access a specific page then instead navigate to this page starting with the main page or with the sign in page in case there is a problem with this bookmark.
thanks for your help.
I think most of the problem resulted from Proton VPN. I dont know why that would make Firefox think the site is http when i can clearly see it is https but when i turned off my vpn, i could connect to the bank. i could immediately turn the vpn back on, no problems. the problem also seems intermittent. I have a work around. i will stop crying and live with it. Thanks for the help in getting there.
