I have close to 2000 bookmarks. There are organized into folders. I want get ride of the folder structure and have all bookmarks on together in one place - no nested folders.

I could click, hold, drag and drop but would be time consuming as I have too many folders.

How do unest all folders and keep all bookmarks together in single place?

Thank you

Keep in mind that in a lot of drop-down menus you do not have a scrollbar and can only scroll by hovering the scroll buttons at top and bottom and with 200 bookmark it can take a long time to locate such a bookmark.

If you want one long list then you can type a colon on the search bar in the sidebar (Command+B) or in the Bookmarks Manager (Library; Command+Shift+O). You can possibly select all on this list and use cut and paste to move them to a bookmarks folder.

Best is to first make a backup, both JSON and HTML, in case something goes wrong or Firefox hangs as I don't know how long this takes with so many bookmarks.

Hi ovande, I haven't tried this, but it should work...

1. Go to Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks 2. In the sidebar, select All Bookmarks 3. In the top-right search bar, press the space bar. This should result in all of your bookmarks being listed. 4. Press command-A to select all items. 5. Drag them to Bookmarks Menu (or Bookmarks Toolbar, or wherever you want to see all of your bookmarks)

I would be cautious with dragging thousands of bookmarks as this is a complicated clipboard action.
