What's the deal with Firefox not allowing people to be able to use Chrome extensions like some other browsers do? I have a password manager that has a Chrome extension, but Firefox does NOT have an extension for it.

Chrome extensions aren't for Firefox. Firefox has their own Addons/Extension for their own Browser. They don't interchange. And not all extension from Chrome are available on Firefox.

Firefox isn't completely compatible with Chrome extensions, so while some companies do make the changes needed to support Firefox, others do not. If you want the developer of the password manager to support Firefox, let them know.
