Time Machine Backup: "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." I found the profile, never re-named it, now what?

I'm restoring from time machine backup in mac and cannot get firefox to work. I have located the profile folder and the error message I get when I try to open firefox is: "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible."

I do not know where to move the folder to in order to get firefox to work. I did not rename the folder. I went through Library to Application Support to find the profile...now what do I do to get firefox to work? Do I need to move the folder? Where to? Should I just delete the firefox folder in App Support, then import my Chrome profile to Firefox after I download it again? Will that even work?

Thank you for reading!

You get this error if this profile isn't registered in profiles.ini, so you need to re-register this profile or restore profiles.ini as well from the backup (this can cause issues in case of multiple profiles).
