I erased my password on an gmail account in thunderbird, I changed it in gmail. when I start thunderbird it asks for the email account instead of just the new password. I fill in the email account and it sends error 400 back to me.

Are cookies accepted in TB Settings/Privacy & Security? If they aren't, the address isn't entered automatically in the OAuth window, and authentication won't complete, even if the address is entered manually.
