event invites automatically added to calendar, no accept or decline buttons

Thunderbolt 115.14.0 (64-bit) on Kubuntu 24.04.1 LTS. I have google calendar set using the link https://apidata.googleusercontent.com/caldav/v2/something%40something.com/events/

When I receive an email with an invite (with attached *.ics file) it goes automatically to the calendar (and perhaps is automatically accepted? No way to know). There are not "Accept" or "Decline" buttons.

How do I prevent this behavior? I prefer to first read the invitation email and then decide what to do and whether to add it to a calendar (and accept or decline it)
