downloading firefox
I am trying to download firefox update but it says the mac has to be 10.12 or later and mine is 10.10.5 so how do I get the updated firefox

Where are you trying to download FF for iO/S from?
For macOS as iOS is the mobile OS used on iPhones and early iPads.

Firefox 116.0 and later requires macOS 10.15 or later to run.
Firefox 115 ESR requires macOS 10.12, 10.13, 10.14 to run. It sounds like you were trying to install Fx 115.15.0esr.
The last version to still support the old eol macOS 10.9, 10.10, 10.11 was Firefox 78.15.0esr. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-mac-osx-users-esr
