Hello Calvin.

I can't be certain if this is your case, but if your mouse is over a flash element, the scroll wheel won't work for the whole page anymore. This is a problem with Flash, and not with Firefox. And it's very annoying (that's why everybody hates when websites use Flash, and why HTML5 is so attractive), I know. You can always put your mouse over a non-flash element and use the wheel. That's how I do it.
