updates are available but when i use the option CHECK FOR UPDATES UNDER HELP OPTION it states that i do not have system permissions to required to install it

my current version is for firefox 3.6.8. actually i downloaded firefox 3.6.12 from mozilla site directly but it works only when i install it each and every time. by default iam getting the same version 3.6.8.

You can start the Firefox program as Administrator via the right-click context menu.
