hi! no i have not gotten any response from anywhere on the web! grrrrrrrrrrr! i don't want to waste money on recovery software if it is not going to do what i want. do you have any ideas on who else we could ask? thanks!

Not likely unless you have a backup of the files key3.db and signons.sqlite in the Firefox Profile Folder from that old setup.
