Right Click an empty area of the toolbar, you will get the customise window, click the search bar that you do not want and drag it off, and on to the customise window.

How do I remove the search bar in the upper right corner of Firefox 11? When I right click the space in the center of the search bar, "customize" does not appear. This is getting old fast. Thank you! :)

Try right-clicking a blank area between the boxes, e.g., to the left of the search box.

If that doesn't work, you can use:

classic View menu > Toolbars > Customize

If you are displaying the orange Firefox button, you can drop down the classic View menu by pressing Alt+v

Any luck?
