When I open Firefox I get an "URGENT" notice that says that my version of Firefox(2.0) is no longer protected from online problems and that I should check the link provided to update.

Firefox 2 is no longer supported and if your system supports later version of Firefox you should upgrade. If you have at least OS X 10.4 you should upgrade to Firefox 3.6.13, available from http://www.mozilla.com

If you have OS X 10.3.9 or earlier, you will not be able to upgrade, Firefox 2.0.0.20 was the last version available for earlier versions of OS X.
