What should I do when firefox asks if I want to download security update and I say yes, it says "Connecting to server", but then doesn't move on?

Every time (at least 7 times) Firefox prompts the "Download security update" and I respond "yes", it never gets past the "Connecting to server" stage. It doesn't matter if I'm online or if I'm working offline. It's always the same. If I wait for it, my computer goes to sleep after a few minutes.

For which Firefox version are you receiving that update prompt?

Firefox 3.6.x or Firefox 4 ?
