Firefox crashed (v. 3.6.17) I think I inadvertently clicked Start New Session instead of Restore Session. Big mistake. Is there a way to restore at this point, perhaps using cache? I have some very important research through websites that were open. . .

Are you using Time Machine?

If you do then you can try to restore the file sessionstore.js from around that time.
