using tools, then add-ons or plugins - I see the plugins - i want to update all because several - especially adobe flash player want to upgrade -

I download the program and try to install - flash tells me to shutdown firefox - I don't know how to do that (I start firefox from my desktop) is there a way to auto-start firefox when windows boots up - and how do I stop it while installing plugins or add-ons - or any other thing that needs firefox NOT ON in order to proceed

To close down Firefox, if you have the old style menus, in the File menu select Exit. If you have the orange Firefox button, click on it and select Exit. You can then run the setup file for the plugin that you are trying to install.
