On my first download of FF4, there was an orange down arrow that contained File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, etc. Now it is a separate bar that takes up the space that was saved before. What happened?

Alt+V (view menu) > Toolbars > (uncheck) Menu bar

Note the "Firefox" button is mutually exclusive to the menu bar and the title bar.

Though you like that main change with Firefox 4 there may be other things you want similar to 3.6, if so, see

You can make Firefox 4.0.1 look like Firefox 3.6.17, see numbered items 1-10 in the following topic Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 4.0 look like 3.6)

I find that my own styling changes save more space than changes introduced in 4.0 when it comes down to displaying what I want to display.

Thanks! This works like a toggle, but I had no idea that was the function of "menu". All I know is that I had the "orange tab" and then one day it was gone and that space was taken up. On a laptop, the space on top is crucial. On my desktop, not so much, but it is good to get it back and use it as I do appreciate it.
