In Firefox 4, when a new tab was opened, there were 9 (?) thumbnails for the most visited websites. Why was this feature disabled by default and how can I get the thumbnails back?

This brought back the "Most Visited" folder, which is not what I was looking for.

I was looking for the most visited thumbnail grid when opening up a new tab. It is possible though that this was a Google toolbar feature, and was not a Firefox built-in feature.
