Lately, accessing Daily Telegraph, 9 times out 10, Firefox won't completely load the whole page ie. the main story but not the bottom half - comments, ads etc. The green 'loading' roundel rotates constantly and the page it's trying to load is displayed at the bottom eg. read s0.2mdn.net or transferring data from www.Linkedin.com... or transferring data from d.onespot.com...

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I'm afraid it did not solve the problem with D. Telegraph web page. Why are other national newspapers not a problem BUT the D.T is?

Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
