I've been a long user of Firefox. I've never had crashing problems until the latest version was loaded on my desktop. Version 6 is crashing EVERY SINGLE TIME I BRING IT UP.

I'd like to dump ver6 and return to ver5. How can I do that. If I can't then I will cease to use Firefox and find some other browser.

Try using the Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode. This will help figure out what is hold it up. Be sure your Anti-virus knows to allow Ver. 6 to run. I would try to figure out what is going on instead of going backwards.
