My sister is have serious problems with the latest version of Firefox - Youtube videos cause the computer to blue screen after a while.

Safe mode has been tried with all the plug-ins except Flash and it still blue screens.

Flash and been re-installed as has the latest video drivers but they make no difference.

Now run out of ideas - and perhaps its time to chance browsers as no other is affected.

Did you try to disable hardware acceleration in the Flash player?

See:

Flash "Display settings" window:

You can also try the Flash 11 RC: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer11.html

No, never tried that - just reverted back to Firefox 3

The reversion didn't work, and apparently Chrome crashed too. So disabling hardware acceleration will be the next thing.

Now trying it with hardware acceleration turned off
