running MAC Snow leaopard and Firefox 7.0.1. Firefox crashes when I try to upload files/pictures. The pop up window opens for me to find files and then it hangs. All my software is up to date. Don't know what else to do.

Please provide a crash id or stacktrace -> https://developer.mozilla.org/en/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_for_a_bug_report

What version of flash player do you have installed? http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

Where are you uploading files to?

I have adobe flash player 10,3,183,5 installed. Not sure how to update that. Not sure how to get a crash report. When I try to upload a file, a pop up window comes up to show me the choices on my mac for files, but it just gets stuck on that with spinning wheels, trying to load my file choices, I can't cancel out and can't click back to firefox, and when I go to the force quit menu, it says firefox is not responding. Not sure where to get the crash id.

thanks for looking into this....would appreciate any help.

I updated by flash player and am now running version 11,0,1,152. I tested the problem again by trying to change my profile picture on FB. Same problem, pop up window comes and wheel spin on it and then Firefox crashes/hangs. I couldn't get a stacktrace number. I opened firefox and typed about:crashes. The last submitted report was from sept 25.

So Firefox hangs - not crashes....

You can update Flash at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ but that doesn't look to be the problem.

If you click on the button below 'Post a Reply' to attach an image does Firefox lock up?

flash is updated to latest version. Tried clicking on link below to add images, same thing happened. a pop up window opened, wheels started spinning and then nothing, so I had to open the force quit window and it said firefox was not responding.

Can you try and check for errors in the log -> https://developer.mozilla.org/en/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_for_a_bug_report#Mac

Run /Applications/Utilities/Console.app. Expand "~/Library/Logs" and "CrashReporter", then look for logs for "firefox-bin".

    • If you don't find any for "firefox-bin" try just "firefox". I think the name was changed in a recent version
