I terminated firefox with task manager, it was at least listed there and uninstalled firefox. Now I could start Internet explorer. I updated systemfiles, controlled that Panda antivirus was not blocking Firefox access etc. Then installed 7 again but no start of firefox. I looked at the system requirements for 7 and there was no problem there. Removed it, tested that IE worked, installed english version, but again no start of application. CorrectionJust remember that the first time after initial installation, 7 worked. But not after that.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
