some time ago participated in a firefox survey, now have unending junk mail which I never had before. using sweep does not stop it, with name or domain changing slightly every time. Short of creating a new account I am at my wits end. can sweep not be configured to block a sender with a combination of either or name / domain

Chosen solution

If your email provider offers SpamAssassin or other anti-spam application then subscribe to it. Otherwise you will have to employ your own filters for junk mail.

Hi andybeck- It sounds like you volunteered [inadvertantly] to participate more than you expected to! Can you tell me who the junk mail is coming from specifically? Usually anything from Mozilla/Firefox has opt out links within the email.

The list is too numerous to include, but consists of, loan offers, weird personal messages that I don't open, insurance offers, car loans, medical products, and many many more

I second the recommendation for another anti-spam application.

thanks for the input people, I use hotmail.com so I will have a look around to see if they do anything, as long as there is not too much tweaking to do I should be alright
