Problem with Bookmarking
I bought a new laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium and installed Firefox 10.0.2. When I bookmark a page, the box where you can pick where to place the page you want to save is "flicking" i.e. I cannot actually tell where to save it because it is not "fixed" and it will disappear after a while. The page will be actually bookmarked, but I cannot place in specific tags, unless I do it later when I go to the bookmark folder and do it manually. It is very weird. When I start Firefox with all the add-ons disabled the problem still persists, but starting in safe mode, the bookmark works perfectly well. Also, and it may or not be related, but I cannot get Firefox to ask me to remember my password in Hotmail (I havent tried other sites). And it will not ask me even in Firefox Safe Mode. It is quite desperate, as the computer is new and bookmarking a lot pages at the moment. Any ideas?? Thank you very much. Gerardo

Firefox safe mode also turns off Hardware Acceleration. I may not expect that to affect the firefox dialogue box for bookmarks but it is worth trying with Hardware Acceleration off
- use Firefox Button -> Options -> Advanced ->
_Browsing_ [] Use Hardware acceleration when available - see options window - Advanced panel
- and how do I upgrade my graphics drivers?
The problem was related to the graphics driver. I disabled the acceleration as suggested and the bookmark dialogue worked fine. I updated the graphics driver and then enabled the hardware acceleration, and it now works perfectly, as it should be. Note that if you use windows to search for updates for your driver, in my case it said I had the latest driver. I went direct to the site of the manufacturer of the graphics card, and found that I didn't have the latest driver. I downloaded from there and everythign is working well, including the remember password dialogue. Thank you very much for the help! Gerardo
