Some how a web deals has got on to my PC, sine then Firefox tabs do not work using the + sign to the right of the lead tab.

if you use the ctrl+t to create a new tab it is not possible to move to between tabs.

The section of the web page just below the tabs bar appears inactive as you cannot select any hyperlinks such as the sign in or register links on the Mozilla web page

Hi chrisFFox,

I'd try starting Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide and the Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems article as well.

Finally, your issue may be because you've been hit with some Malware.

Hopefully this helps!

That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar or the Babylon extension that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links and buttons in that part of the screen not clickable.
