Am now current with FF 13, Flash is up to date. But FF no longer plays video content on YouTube and other sites as well.

Chrome and IE9 do not have this problem

On YouTube, I get the video window with the caret [>] button in the center of the video. But when I click on it to play, I get the message: An error occurred. Please try again later.

Chosen solution

I finally disabled the RealPlayer Record add-on (or was it an extension? I can't seem to figure out the differences between add-ons, plug-ins & extensions) and now the video plays fine. But, of course, I can no longer capture the clips.

I suppose the conflicts & incompatibilities will eventually be sorted out!

hello bardiferous, this is likely a problem in connection with the recent update of adobe's flash plugin (chrome & ie are supplied with a different version of the plugin by adbobe), please refer to the following article for common solutions: Flash 11.3 doesn't load video in Firefox

there are quite a few alternatives for capturing video available, maybe you can use one of those for the moment: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/search/?q=save+video

I'm not in any rush - but I appreciate the suggestions. Having choices helps to make the computing & online experience better, bit by bit (pun intended), every day.

I just upgrade to ESR 10.0.10. After that youtube is not running. Chrome is working well. I have tried to delete cache, but it didn't help.
