Firefox background has turned "dead black". Now, it functions correctly but only links are visible. Address bar, tabs and setting options are also invisible.

I installed Norton antivirus 2010, and after its installation when I opened Firefox, a pop-up error notification from Norton was appeared in the right below corner of mozilla firefox. After that time Background of Firefox is black and no test or object is visible on its dead back-ground except the links. Menu bar options, address bar and other setting options are either invisible or partly missing. I have tried different versions of Mozilla but this problem persists with every version of Firefox installed. Please, help me out in this regard.

It seems there is a compatibility problem. Close the Firefox disable the Norton Antivirus an try open Firefox again. I'm waiting for your reply telling if it worked or not.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
