Since the most recent upgrade, when a new tab is initially opened, there are white boxes with what looks like browser history.. one box per each site visited.
When a new tab is opened, it's filled with white boxes that look like browser history. Each white box as a Pin in a grey icon on the top left and as X in a gray icon on the top right. The bottom has a white bar listing the site name , like "google calendar".

OK, I turned the "Feature" off... it looks like an error and is annoying. I don't see anywhere here to click on "Solved", but my issue is solved.
