Prevent firefox from clearing clipboard

All versions of FireFox up to 13 allowed us to keep what is in our clipboard when we close the browser. Is there a way to disable this?

Using the History feature is not an option because I am a web developer and need cache/history disabled when working on live websites.

I never noticed this before. Looking over the list of changes in Firefox 13, I didn't spot any logical candidates for this change**:

As a temporary workaround, an open Notepad window might be useful.

** the point being that it might have been an unintended side effect.

Note: I didn't test Firefox's Safe Mode or a clean profile, so can't yet rule out an add-on as the cause of the changed behavior.
