how do you delete bookmarks
I would like to delete individual bookmarks. highlighting and hitting delete does not work.

If you want to delete from somewhere else, could you describe it in a little more detail? For example, "new tab" thumbnails, auto-complete drop-down, etc.

On Mac you need to remove bookmarks in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) either via the Organize button (first button on the toolbar) or with Shift+Delete.
