How do I set the Adobe PDF viewer 10.1.4.38 default to 100% and get it to stay there?

I'm using Firefox 16.0.1 and the Adobe PDF viewer 10.1.4.38. The viewer defaults to 198% and "fit width" (I use a 24-inch screen). I want it to default to 100%. I've tried changing that setting, but it reverts to 198% and "fit width" with each new PDF document I view. How do I set the default to 100% and get it to stay there?

Not sure what you mean by 100%, but you can set options within Adobe Reader itself for "Page Display" that carry over into the Plugin.

  1. Open Adobe Reader from your Programs list
  2. In Adobe Reader, click Edit > Preferences
  3. In the Preferences window click "Page Display" in the left margin
  4. To start, only make changes to the 2 "Default Layout and Zoom" options and test each change by loading a PDF file in Firefox. I use settings "Automatic" and "Fit Width" for those 2 items.
