I have used Firefox from the day i bought this computer. x64 windows 7 never had a problem. Now it will not open. When I click on the icon all i get is the crash report screen. tried to open in safe mode, it does the same. ran the troubleshooter and it switched to xp service pack 1 compatibility. Not very computer savvy.

Chosen solution

The involved file is wmjqnchd.dll as you can see in the modules list of the crash report.

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that allows to locate the file.
You can also try to scan the Windows registry for that file (Ctrl+F).

You have malware on your PC. Please read Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware

Ok I have run all the malware detection programs listed and followed all directions. Nothing was found.

And Firefox still wont run.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

Ran all the spyware programs, Superantispyware found over 130 threats. All were removed. Nothing else found. Mozilla still wont work. I miss Mozilla! Any other suggestions?

One of three torrents. Last one I was on was kat. Noticed I was being bombarded afterwards in peer blocker then Firefox shut down.
