Facebook Messneger - Services
Currently using Firefox Nightly 22.0a1 64 bit. After one of the updates Facebook Messenger got installed into Services, which I did not request and do not want!!
I don't have a Facebook account and will never have one, so I disabled the feature.
In order to uninstall the feature, it states that I must first register, then sign into my Facebook account, which I don't want to do!!
I fail to understand why I was not given the option to either accept or decline the Facebook Messenger add on. My freedom of choice was denied in this case!
What is the procedure for uninstalling Services, specifically Facebook Messenger?
Thanks and regards,
Steve Key
Chosen solution
In Firefox 22 (release), you can go to the Services section of the Add-ons Manager window, and hit the Remove button next to Facebook Messenger.

You may be seeing the Social features sidebar.
You can disable the Social features by setting the social.enabled pref to false on the about:config page.
Checked in about:config and social.enabled is set to False and the Services is still visible, although I disabled the Farcebook Messenger.
I would like to Delete/Uninstall it altogether!
