Hello fellow James. lol. thanks for the reply. that was, indeed, a typo. anywho, my mobile phone is samsung galaxy ace, GT S5830, not "5380". lol

i can now see that the reason why they included "galaxy ace" on the list of supported websites is that there are a number of "galaxy ace" devices being Galaxy Ace Plus, GT-S5830i, etc., all belonging in the Galaxy Ace ......Class (erm, I really don't know what to call it lol). Those galaxy ace devices might be compatible with the current version of firefox if they have more RAM. But after specifically checking mine, plain old turn of the mill Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830, I saw that my RAM was set at 278 MB RAM, way below the minimum of 384 MB.

I appreciate the help anyway. Thank you very much. I've been using firefox on PC since way back in high school and it would really be great if firefox can be made available to us lowly beings still stuck on low-end smartphones. lol.

i think ill just wait for upcoming versions and will check from time to time if the developers can lower the minimum (again) to 278 MB. Thanks for taking the time to answer. i appreciate it, good day!!

The S5380 is the Samsung Wave Y which uses Bada OS and not Android.

I believe you meant GT-S5830

Galaxy Ace on http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/mobile/platforms/ is a little Broad as there are several models with the Galaxy Ace in name.

I think the issue may be the amount of Ram as depending on the specific model of S5830 and site the Ram seems to be about 278 MB to 384 MB.

The mobile Firefox 19.0 requires 512+MB RAM while the Firefox 20.0 system requirements have been lowered to 384MB of RAM and QVGA displays.

You can either wait for mobile Firefox 20.0 or try the mobile Firefox Beta4 on Google Play.
