Could you describe this in more detail: is this a feature inside Firefox, like a toolbar or a new home page, or is it a feature on your desktop? What does it do?

If the problem is inside Firefox, try disabling ALL nonessential, recently added, and unrecognized extensions here:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category
