Hello. Can you create a button to stop loading all other tabs. I know you have buttons for: reload all tabs, and close all other tabs, but stopping all other tabs would be great too.

For example:

opening new tabs on eBay, they constantly load and make mozilla slower to work with. If I can stop all other tabs from loading, I can browse the main page faster and open even more tabs faster.

This button would be very useful. Consider it. =)

Hi zen7, I'm not sure whether you're suggesting a button that would be like clicking the little "X" in the address bar for each tab that immediately halts the page loading, or whether you really want to prevent pages from opening new tabs in the first place.

The tabs you're describing on eBay sound a bit like pop-ups; pop-ups that pop up in a new tab instead of a new window. Are they not supposed to be opening? What's in them? Maybe there's a way to stop them now with a Firefox setting or an add-on so you don't have to wait for a new feature to be built.

I have the same issue so I am going to go to 'the dark side': IE - until you folks can fix FF 20.0.1. I have tried every setting I can find, nothing blocks popup PAGES behind the one I want. Most of them are coming from a place called 'adsdontwork', graphics are missing ( I see NO graphics on this Mozilla support site). Also, every extension i see says it won't work with this version I have - 20.0.1, but also, this version says it won't work with the OS and System I have, but what I have meets all the requirements (see my profile for those). I really hate this new FF - and I hate to say it - I hate it more than IE. And Opera is not an option, it doesn't have what I need at all.

The OP wants to open a lot of links quickly after each other in the background, but would want to delay the actual loading until going to a specific tab.
When you restore a previous session only at most three tabs load at the same time if restoring on demand isn't selected (active), but I don't know if you can achieve this with opening a lot of links.

Maybe one of these help:
