Im aware of these options but they do not answer my question. I want to know if Firefox android can be set to permanently not remember history like it can be on the desktop version. The private browsing option is only a temporary solution on android and has to be opened every time i start Firefox.

Do you have the browser.privatebrowsing.autostart on the about:config page?

If you have, do it have effect if you set this pref to true?

I looked for it in the about:config but could not find it, however this may be because im using the beta version. So i added a new Boolean in the about:config named "browser.privatebrowsing.autostart" and set it to true. Once I had done this I found firefox was no longer keeping a record of webpage that been visited. Thanks for your help @cor-el
